Become a Company Distilling Brand Ambassador
We make spirits worth sharing. That is not just a tagline. It is how we think about whiskey, and it shapes everything we do, from how we craft our bourbon to how we show up in the communities where our bottles live on shelves. Now we are looking for people who think the same way.
The Company Distilling Brand Ambassador Program is open in Georgia and South Carolina. We are building a team of real people who love spirits, love connecting with others, and want to be genuine parts of changing how bourbon culture works in their hometowns.
Who We Are
What Is a Brand Ambassador?
A Brand Ambassador is the face of Company Distilling in their local market. You are not behind a desk. You are out in your community, meeting people at tastings, educating bar and retail staff, and showing folks firsthand what it means to have a spirit worth sharing.
This part-time, independent contractor role lets you set your own schedule within a defined framework, manage your own taxes, and work as an autonomous small-business owner representing a brand you believe in. It’s ideal for those with full lives who want meaningful evening and weekend work.
What You Would Actually Do
The role breaks down into four areas of responsibility.
Retail Sales and Account Activation make up about half of your time. This is where you drive real, measurable results. You would host in-store tastings at liquor retailers, typically two to four events per month, engaging directly with shoppers and guiding them toward a purchase. You would also conduct staff training at bars and restaurants so that bartenders and servers become advocates for our products after you leave. Building genuine relationships with store managers, beverage directors, and distributors in your territory is a big part of this work, and so is identifying new accounts that are not yet carrying Company Distilling.
Event Activation and Consumer Engagement is about 30 percent of your focus. This includes showing up at whiskey festivals, food events, and community gatherings as a brand representative. It also includes hosting smaller, more intimate private tastings for groups of 8 to 20 people in homes, restaurants, and whiskey clubs. Through our Gather Around Giving program, you would also have the opportunity to partner with local nonprofits for community-driven events that put our values into action.
Market Intelligence and Relationship Building is a smaller but meaningful part of the role. You are our eyes and ears in your territory. You would share feedback with the marketing team, stay connected with key accounts through regular check-ins, and flag opportunities for expanded distribution or programming.
Content Creation and Social Amplification rounds out the remaining time. You do not need to be an influencer. You just need to share authentic, on-brand moments from your events on your personal social channels, in your own voice, and document activations that the brand can use.
The minimum commitment is 4 to 6 events per month. Most events happen on evenings and weekends. You would typically work within a territory that covers a 25 to 100-mile radius from where you live.
What You Would Earn
Compensation is event-based with an hourly rate for your time, covering setup, execution, breakdown, and local travel. You also receive sales commissions for verified case depletion increases, quarterly tiered bonuses based on territory results, and separate bonuses for new account placements. Full compensation details are shared during the selection process.
Beyond pay, ambassadors receive 2 to 3 bottles of product per month for use at personal tastings and events, all marketing materials and event supplies, a branded apparel and event kit, and mileage reimbursement for travel beyond 25 miles at the IRS standard rate.
When you are selected, you will go through a comprehensive training program that includes a 2-day in-person session at our Townsend, Tennessee, distillery. You will tour the facility, go deep into product education, complete sales and presentation training, learn the brand philosophy, and meet the leadership team. All travel expenses for that training are covered. After that, an ongoing virtual skills development program continues to build your knowledge and confidence.
