No one leaves their dream job. But after two decades at Jack Daniels, Jeff Arnett wasn’t done dreaming. After expanding Jack Daniels’ portfolio from three products to eleven and winning Master Distiller of the Year in 2017, Jeff departed Jack Daniels to build something incredible from the ground up.

Kevin Smith - Company Distilling - Director of Brewing and Distilling

Kevin Smith is obsessed with the traditional processes of making and fermenting distilled beverages. He publishes about it in leading science texts, lectures about it in the most respected programs, and has even pioneered new analytical processes to accomplish it. A self-admitted science geek, he comes to Company at the forefront of his field.

Nathan Osborne - Company Distilling - Director of Sales and Distribution

The best salespeople aren’t really selling anything; they’re just sharing something they already love. Nathan came to love spirits and wine at the James Beard Award-Winning Blackberry Farm. His accomplishments managing two sales divisions as a wholesaler, and his continued success at Company, come as no surprise.

Cassie Halley

Director of Marketing & Retail Operations
With a background in hospitality and a sharp eye for making things look good, Cassie brings style and strategy to Company Distilling. She ensures people are happy and the brand is as inviting as the pour in your glass—through storytelling, design, and retail spaces worth lingering in. At the heart of it all, she knows great whiskey is meant to be shared, and she’s here to make that happen.

With a wealth of experience in event management, Hannah brings a unique blend of creativity and precision to Company Distilling. As Regional Manager & Events Coordinator, she’s passionate about crafting unforgettable experiences that make a lasting impact, all while ensuring the brand’s presence is as warm and inviting as the whiskey we pour.

Kirk Carter

After retiring from a rewarding career in law enforcement in South Florida, Kirk followed his heart to the mountains of East Tennessee—a place that’s always felt like home. Driven by a passion for whiskey and craft beer, he joined the Company Distilling team in May 2022. Kirk is committed to creating memorable guest experiences that reflect both the laid-back charm of the Smokies and the warm, welcoming spirit at the heart of Company Distilling.

Amber leads our Lynchburg store with heart, reliability, and a strong sense of place. She’s passionate about creating a space that feels local and genuine—where every guest is welcomed with a smile and every bottle has a story.

Jeff blends retail expertise with a passion for craft spirits at our Thompson Station store. Known for his friendly approach and product knowledge, he delivers a laid-back, personalized experience that keeps guests coming back.

If Company is about bringing people together, it’s Kris Tatum that brought the team itself together. Kris is a founder of the Tennessee Distillers Guild and served as its President, advancing legislation that increased revenue and alleviated taxes for all distillers in the state—large and small.

Kevin is adept at aligning stakeholders of every kind around a common purpose, and his vision and guidance have led to business success for all those around him.

Corey Clayton - Company Distilling

Townsend, Tennessee is about to become the next Bentonville, Arkansas, and Corey Clayton is helping drive that transition. A graduate of UT’s Environmental Soils and Sciences program, Corey is managing the development of Vee Hollow Bike Trails in Townsend, TN. He is an ardent believer in recreation’s power to drive local economies.
