Single Barrel
Wheated Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Finished with Amburana Wood
A limited release, available by pre-sale only. The Proof List gets first access on July 10 at 9 am. Everyone else waits until July 17.
Maple. Apple. Cherry. Pecan. Now Amburana. Jeff’s finishing program has always started with one question: what can the wood pull out of the whiskey? Amburana is the fifth wood, and the first from outside North America.
Free to join. First access July 10 at 9:00 a.m. EST.
Spirit Profile
Amburana is sometimes called Brazilian oak, but it is not oak at all. It is a lighter wood with a tight, interlocking grain, and it carries cinnamon, clove, and tropical spice in the grain itself. Rested in our four-grain bourbon, those notes do not sit on top of the whiskey. They become it. Warmth up front. Baking spice through the middle. A finish closer to dessert than any bourbon we have made.
Tasting Notes

“Every wood in our finishing program earned its place because of what it gave to the whiskey. Amburana gave it something none of the others could. I think you’ll taste that in the first sip.”
